Hello, I have a directory and information site. Time has been tight, so I haven't been able to check and update the information on my site as frequently. If someone uses the information I post on the site and it ends up as the wrong info, can I be sued for it? I don't interpret any of the info, I just summarize it and provide links. Thanks

it's possible. you have a duty to update the site; however, you can not be held responsibe for upgrades every second. so if your defense is "i udate my stuff daily which is an industry standard and reasonable" that may fly. if your defense is (and i believe it is) "sorry, time was tight and i just didn't get around to it" then you lose

Anybody can sue you for anything. Will they have a case? Not likely. Will it still cost you a fortune to defend yourself? Yup. Is there anything you can do to prevent it? Nope, just hope.
