Every night when I tuck my computer in and put it to sleep the screen looks normal - the way it should! Then, when I wake it up in the morning, the screen is "stretched out" - looks like it's been slighly magnified and squished! Restarting the computer does not change it. Doing a system restore fixes it but then the next morning the screen did it again. I thought I narrowed down the problem to a windows update...but it shouldn't have installed itself, I turned off everything for the automatic updates after I did the system restore! Has anyone had this problem? How do I fix it? Changing the resolution doesn't work - it's set at 1028x720 where it's supposed to be when I look at it in the morning. I am not having luck finding it on microsoft's help...I am running Vista Home Premium if that makes a difference... Anyone else have this happen? Any suggestions to try? I hate having to keep doing the system restore and then this happening over and over again!

I would suggest changing the resalution but then again you said you have tried that so i don't know what else to suggest. maybe call someone to come and have a look at it. or send it away to get fixed. Our mouse and keyboard stopped working so i had to get knew ones. My computer screen went funny once like that, i had to get rid of it and i got a new computer for christmas. I think if you have no luck you might have to a new one.

My computer is only a few months old, so I will not be getting a new one! I think it is related to the update that keeps installing itself despite me telling it not to - that I'm not sure how to fix! thabks for the response!
