So I bought a domain name and hosting using Godaddy. I went into file manager (where you upload files) and uploaded my .html files. but when I go to see my website it still says "website is coming soon".

I'm not very good at this yet, this is my 1st website i'm hosting (it's a business website). Help?

I ordered a dedicated server from a hosting company. How can I know if what was delivered was really a dedicated server or just a VPS.

I just purchased some hosting space on webhostingpad and I uploaded a picture in .bpm format into the public_html folder. But when I enter the url of my website, it says that it is still under construction. How do I make that picture visible?

I know how to buy a domain name but then i m being told to register to a web hosting site or watever. I can make my site on Front page but how do i upload it and what is meant by web hosting?. Please guide me through this.

I need a free webhost that supports image maps...i.e. one that has the Apache mod_imap module installed. I've been Googling the last couple of days, but none of the free web hosts I found allow image maps! I want an image map, so I can have a cool forums sig, which will have different links in different parts of the pic.

The pros and cons of having your own dedicated server to manage and the pros and cons of getting it from a dedicated hosting service? And what type of website would benefit for either of them?

I know its illegal to put copyrighted material on the web, but im just curious is it possible to put a collection of video media on the web to stream without the possibility of getting sued or having to delete them?

Well, I'm currently interested in knowing about creating/starting a website. So Joomla is a free web hosting/program right? Does it provide a domain that is free (.net / .com)? I've seen several website using Joomla with (.net) domain. Please do help me clear my doubts. Thanks!
