I bought some items from Mexico yesterday morning online with my visa card, and the shop sent me an email straight away to say that the order is being processed and I will receive it within 12 days, but the payment does not show on my account yet?
How does this work? Do they have payment now? Or do they have to wait until it leaves my account?? Anyone know? Im in Australia BTW.

It takes up to four days to clear in your bank account.
Some companies will not ship the item until they have the red hot money.
Other companies take the chance.

It really depends on the company. Some companies bill you right away, but others don't bill you until an order actually ships (Amazon.com is like that). Bear in mind that the company will run your credit/debit card and make sure you have enough left under your credit limit or enough money in your account before they will approve the sale. Also, it may take a day or two between the time the company in Mexico actually completes the transaction and the time it shows up on your credit/debit card statement.

it just depends on your bank. i'm sure if they say there's is processing then they have received the payment it just hasn't cleared yours yet.
