I was reading through many of the other responses and I apparently am in the minority. I think cheating is physical contact. Porn is just a fantasy and on-line adult chatting is an interactive fantasy, similar to going to a strip club. There is real life, and there is the wild crazy world of fantasy. The internet allows us to be completely impersonal and yet interact with other people. People complain about how impersonal the internet has made us, but when it comes to something like adult chatting, people completely jump the fence. It fun, its naughty, its fantasy.

However, if he starts planning on meeting people that he's talking to, signs up on hook up sites, or in anyway wants to elevate it to the next level - its time to consider it a problem.
