im having problems in trying to get backlinks in google i have them in yahoo, msn, all the web and others but not google, i find it very frustrating when you type cheap electronics into google im in the top 15 for http://www.globaldiscounts.co.uk if anyone knows the answer to this it would be most appreciated.

Google never shows current backlinks - they are 3-5 months old. They do this to protect how their algorithm is figured. Usually the links you have showing in Yahoo are the same ones showing in Google, but just not displaying. But make sure your pages are listed in Google. You can type:

site:www.yourdomain.com

to see all the pages you have listed in Google. You may want to consider doing Google Sitemaps too.

My guess is this is a fairly new site. Google doesn't show backlinks to new sites for several months. And when they do, they only show quality links. Typically Google only shows about 5-10% of the links you will see on Yahoo or MSN.

Be patient and keep working at getting those one-way links to your site!
